It has been our experience that Callisia repens is a successful spreading plant in the garden. We have found it particularly effective as a spiller in containers, as well as a for a filler within the landscape in shade to part shade situations.

Due to its ability to spread so effectively, it is easy to border on becoming aggressive. We have noticed its spread is not as prolific in areas with compacted soil.
